There’s protein in butter, right?
When I start training someone who needs to add strength and shed fat, the diet talks are short and sweet. Stop eating so many carbs, triple or more your protein. Now get under the bar.
Without fail, as people begin to tweak their diets, they’ll hold onto the fact that THEY are special enough that they can get their protein in without giving up their carbs. They become very selective in what they’re watching. So eating three crappy protein bars a day is ok because it has some protein in it. Uhhhhhh, nope. A Clif bar has 9g of protein and 44g of carbs. You get 4.3g of protein in a Snickers bar with 34g of carbs. SRSLY, just eat a Snickers. They’re tasty and at least you’re being honest about the shit you’re eating.
If you happen to carry weight easier than others (i.e. a fatty), you don’t get to eat like this. Sorry. If you are NOT someone who carries weight easily, you shouldn’t eat like this. Sorry. It’ll catch you, at some point in your life. Maybe you’ll still look good in clothes but you’ll be unhealthy with crappy eating habits. We’ve all seen it. You’ll be in denial for a good 20-50 pounds, but it’ll catch you.
Why in the world would anyone choose a Clif bar over meat? Whyyyyyyyyy?!
