In general, I’m not a fan of ‘hardcore’ motivational quotes. Spend two minutes on lifting blogs and you’ll notice all of the cool kids using quotes with words such as “warrior” or “forged” or some other douchebaggery. Look folks, most of us here are just trying to be a little better than yesterday. We’re not bad ass, we’re training. We get into the gym with our log and our squat shoes and eek out a little bit more strength than the day before.
Some of us are training for upcoming meets or events and if so, that’s awesome. But Badass? Nope. Sorry. Very few of us out there are high level competitors and giving the people we train or train with some bad-assed motivational quote doesn’t make us a better coach, it makes us lame. I don’t even call Bigg a Badass and he IS a Badass.

For the rest of us mortals, we’re training; competing and striving for new PR’s; and doing work in the gym. That makes us useful and a little bit stronger than last week. But not Badass. Sorry.
Now here’s some badass fun…
