Best Beard: Damon Kelly (Australia) His Olympic beard rival’s Bigg’s winter beard. Impressive.

Best Name: Christian Alberto Lopez BOBADILLA (Guatemala) Wanna bet this guy’s been called Godzilla at least once?

Best Arm Art: Fernando Reis (Brazil) Uhhhhh…just look at them.

Reis also gets Honorable Mention for meanest lifting face prior to the pull…AND cutest smile after falling on his ass on his third Snatch attempt. Endearing.

Golden, eh?

By now you know that Serena Williams is my favorite athlete. So it’s no surprise that I’m stoked that she put on a tennis clinic during her Olympic finals match against Maria Sharapova.

But wait…there’s more.

She and sister, Venus, kicked arse in the doubles finals too for another Gold. Very cool.

In other news, congrats to my hockey kid, who will be playing for the Texas Tornado next season. Sending him wishes of Strength and Speed all season long. If this makes no sense to you, see here.

Going Up

Bigg continues his Log Press work preparing for Nationals in Reno in three weeks. Cool.

We also had a great time at the gym with a new lifter, Trevor. Trevor is Bigg’s favorite because he brought us bacon. Sooooo, that makes Trevor one of the first official lifters of tosabarbell. More on Trevor soon.
