Annette Funicello quietly passed away this week. Her death was overshadowed slightly by Margaret Thatcher’s and all the political B.S. that ensued.
I’m old enough to have enjoyed the re-runs of the Mickey Mouse club and to catch some late night showings of her movies. I always viewed her as being so “good girl.” Like, I wonder if I could ever be that good, good. I don’t think I was. I like to look back on the days when being good and clean was an asset in Hollywood. When people like that were rewarded for goodness. Ya Know, before the Hilton’s made being idiotic and alive rewarding.
The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
